Wedding of The Year - Congratulations to James & Pippa Matthews!
The suspense is finally over, Pippa Middleton and James Matthews tied the knot in a small Berkshire Village and are officially Mr & Mrs Matthews. As you can imagine from the most anticipated wedding of the year, the press were out in force and most of the country were eagerly refreshing their social media pages to see the brides choice of wedding dress, which was of course, nothing less than beautiful. Our Creative Director was on hand to give a personal interview prior to the wedding about all the details of the upcoming VIP wedding with Talk Radio..
As you can imagine from such a high profile wedding, with celebrities and Royal attendees, everything other than the ceremony was kept tightly under wraps with no expense spared on security, and as far as we are aware, the newly wed couple have chosen not to share the details of their extravagant wedding party with the public (not that we blame them, but we’d love to find out more!) Here is what we do know so far..
With Pippa having worked in event management herself, we wouldn’t have expected anything less than magical when it comes to the wedding design and execution which is very apparent with her supplier choice, including the amazing Fait Accompli who were appointed to assist Pippa with all of her wedding planning needs.
The most important part of the wedding is reported to have been in the capable hands of both Table Talk and Blue Strawberry, no doubt, delivering some of the most delectable food throughout the evening to complement the 750 bottles of Nyetimber, one of the finest English sparkling wines, being served. The staff also hand picked by Pippa to ensure the finest appearance and service for her 300 wedding guests.
The floristry was all beautifully arranged by one of our favourites, Lavender Green. With a Scottish/ “Enchanted Forest” theme came luxurious scented candles, green and grey furniture and Cherry Blossom Trees complementing the stunning pink and ivory floral displays throughout the incredible glass marquee. The table design was provided by Jones Hire, who is regularly used by the Royal Family (and us!) for their busy calendar of events. The 140ft x 40ft glass house style structure was supplied by PBI Event Architecture and rumoured to cost in the region of £100,000. For the entertainment; joining with the photobooths, table tennis, DJ and saxophonist came a Vintage World War II Spitfire Plane delighting guests with a 15 minute show to start the evening off.
As the evening went by, the marquee was decked out with some of the most spectacular lighting in all colours, including an impressive full scale projection mapping and lighting show on the back of Bucklebury Manor consisting of images of the bride and groom before guests danced the night away until 4am.
